Wills, Probate, Power of Attorney, Living Wills

We prepare simple wills. A simple will contains basic provisions relating to disposition of a person’s estate upon their death. A will also appoints someone to handle your affairs after death. We do not do estate planning. In the event that you have estate tax concerns, we will refer you to an attorney that handles estate planning. We also probate wills. Probate is a procedure by which a will is proved to be valid or invalid. Probate also includes administering the decedent’s estate which includes distributing property to the heirs. We also prepare Living Wills and Directive to Physicians. A Living will addresses your desires regarding life-support treatment in the event that you are not able to communicate these decisions yourself. A Power of Attorney appoints someone to act for you in the event that you become incapacitated. When parents become elderly, it is important for them to have a power of attorney to act on their behalf and handle their affairs if they are unable to do so.
